With fully in-house software development, finance, customer service, and marketing teams based in our Freehold, New Jersey headquarters, VCS has deep roots and strong ties to our community.
VCS Mission / Core Philosophy
We will continue to strive to make the lives of employees easier through our philosophy of constant innovation: when a new need arises, we code a solution.

Our Story
In 1998, Guy DiMemmo founded VCS Software with the launch of the Police Officer Scheduling System (POSS), the very first computerized system for police scheduling.
To successfully address the evolving complexities of workforce management, DiMemmo knew that relying on pen and paper or digital spreadsheets would no longer suffice. A fairer, more dynamic system was needed to make sure that qualified employees would be placed in the right positions at the right times. POSS now powers over 700 police departments across the country.
In 2017, VCS further leveraged our expertise in police scheduling with the launch of Jobs4Blue. As of 2024, more than 3 million jobs have been scheduled through the service.
Building upon the lessons learned managing workforces with the most challenging schedules, VCS has expanded its offerings to include cloud-based workforce management solutions designed to serve employees in any industry. With innovative, robust software and first-rate support, VCS has maintained a 98% customer retention rate since we opened our doors in 1998.
